Poster Presentation Guidelines

Guidelines for Poster Preparation #NCPulses2026

1. Poster Size and Orientation

  • The recommended size of the poster should be 33.1 inches x 46.8 inches (A0 size).
  • Use portrait orientation as specified.
  • Ensure margins allow for printing and mounting.

2. Design and Layout

  • Organize content into clear sections: Title, Authors & Affiliations, Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.
  • Use a clean, logical flow—typically left to right, top to bottom.
  • Ensure visual balance; avoid overly dense text blocks.

3. Title and Author Information

  • Title should be large, concise, and readable from at least 2–3 meters away.
  • Include full names, institutional affiliations, and contact information (Email ID).
  • Add institutional logos at the left-top and conference logo at the right-top.
  • Poster code no. should be displayed at the full right-top.

4. Font and Readability

  • Use suitable fonts (e.g., Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, Helvetica).
  • Recommended font sizes: Use the following font sizes or as you feel suitable.
    • Title: 72–120 pt
    • Headings: 36–60 pt
    • Body text: 24–32 pt
    • Captions: 18–24 pt
  • Avoid long paragraphs—use bullet points and concise statements.

5. Color Scheme and Graphics

  • Use high contrast—dark text on a light background is easiest to read.
  • Avoid overly bright or harsh colors.
  • Use high-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Ensure figures, charts, and tables are large enough to read from 1–2 meters.
  • Label all axes, legends, and units clearly.

6. Content Recommendations

  • Be concise: Highlight key points, not full papers.
  • Introduction: State the problem and objective clearly.
  • Methods: Present short descriptions or flow diagrams.
  • Results: Use visuals (graphs, images) instead of text-heavy explanations.
  • Conclusion: Summarize key findings and implications.
  • References: Include only essential citations.
  • Acknowledgments: Acknowledge funding bodies or collaborators.
